DIG-CON Workshop in Katowice: Insights, Progress, and a Descent into the GUIDO Coalmine

At the end of November, a DIG-CON workshop (efficient construction using digital technologies in the construction and finishing trade) was held at the Chamber of Crafts and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Katowice. After intensive discussions about the progress of the project, feedback on content and the next steps, we went 320 metres underground – into the GUIDO coal mine in Zabrze. There, we gained exciting insights into mechanisation and technological developments in mining and were able to see modern machines such as cutting drums and roadheaders in action. The event concluded with a mini-workshop on ‘Readiness for Technological Change’ and a wrap-up of the event.
