In this project, we are join­ing forces with part­ners to sup­port SMEs in the con­struc­tion sec­tor in their dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion, the pro­mo­tion of coop­er­a­tion and the train­ing of skilled work­ers. Our goal is to sig­nif­i­cant­ly improve the effi­cien­cy and com­pet­i­tive­ness of these com­pa­nies.

The Hanse-Par­la­ment is an asso­ci­a­tion of 50 cham­bers of indus­try, com­merce and crafts from 13 coun­tries, rep­re­sent­ing over 475,000 SMEs in the Baltic Sea region. It strength­ens the eco­nom­ic per­for­mance of the region and pro­motes SMEs in par­tic­u­lar, with a focus on voca­tion­al train­ing in the EU. The head office in Ham­burg serves as a ser­vice cen­ter, think tank and devel­op­ment depart­ment. It devel­ops sup­port mea­sures, tests them with part­ners and dis­sem­i­nates them to all mem­bers. The Hanse-Par­la­ment has been in exis­tence since 1994 and ensures sus­tain­able inter­na­tion­al coop­er­a­tion. In 2010, it found­ed the Baltic Sea Acad­e­my, a depart­ment with 22 uni­ver­si­ties from 9 coun­tries that run dual study pro­grams and research projects for SMEs and pro­mote the trans­fer of knowl­edge and inno­va­tion. The close coop­er­a­tion between uni­ver­si­ties, cham­bers of com­merce and SMEs is used inten­sive­ly for projects.

The Schw­erin Cham­ber of Crafts runs a large voca­tion­al train­ing and tech­nol­o­gy cen­tre ded­i­cat­ed to voca­tion­al edu­ca­tion and train­ing and the pro­mo­tion of inno­va­tion for SMEs. The cham­ber is respon­si­ble for voca­tion­al train­ing, con­duct­ing exam­i­na­tions and devel­op­ing fur­ther train­ing reg­u­la­tions. It has exten­sive expe­ri­ence par­tic­u­lar­ly in the field of train­ing young peo­ple with learn­ing dif­fi­cul­ties and sup­port­ing SMEs in inno­va­tion process­es. The train­ing cen­tre offers prac­ti­cal cours­es, for exam­ple in new tech­nolo­gies or to pre­pare for mas­ter crafts­man­’s exams, and con­ducts needs-ori­ent­ed fur­ther train­ing. In addi­tion, the cham­ber sup­ports SMEs in dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion by pro­vid­ing advice and imple­ment­ing best prac­tices in its own train­ing work­shops. By work­ing close­ly with indus­try, the cham­ber sus­tain­ably pro­motes the qual­i­fi­ca­tion of skilled work­ers and tech­nol­o­gy trans­fer in the region.

Satakun­ta Uni­ver­si­ty of Applied Sci­ences (SAMK) is a uni­ver­si­ty of applied sci­ences with around 6,300 stu­dents and spe­cialis­es in the fields of con­struc­tion, dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion, and ener­gy and envi­ron­men­tal tech­nol­o­gy. SAMK active­ly pro­motes coop­er­a­tion between com­pa­nies and research through tech­nol­o­gy trans­fer, work-based learn­ing and inno­va­tion projects. The uni­ver­si­ty devel­ops prac­tice-ori­ent­ed cur­ric­u­la and inno­v­a­tive learn­ing meth­ods, par­tic­u­lar­ly in dig­i­tal edu­ca­tion. SAMK is strong­ly involved in inter­na­tion­al coop­er­a­tion and con­ducts best-prac­tice analy­ses on the dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion of the con­struc­tion indus­try. Dr. Sir­pa Sandelin and Dr. Kari Lil­ja lead the project work and have exten­sive inter­na­tion­al expe­ri­ence in teach­ing and research.

The Lat­vian Cham­ber of Com­merce and Indus­try (LCCI) is a non-gov­ern­men­tal organ­i­sa­tion rep­re­sent­ing over 1,000 com­pa­nies in Latvia. It pro­motes entre­pre­neur­ial inter­ests and offers com­pre­hen­sive busi­ness devel­op­ment ser­vices, includ­ing pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment and advice for SMEs. With 7 region­al offices, the cham­ber pro­vides con­tin­u­ous train­ing and advice, sup­port­ed by a train­ing cen­tre for cours­es, sem­i­nars and work­shops. LCCI is expe­ri­enced in imple­ment­ing inter­na­tion­al projects for pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment and dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion, par­tic­u­lar­ly through close coop­er­a­tion with polit­i­cal and pub­lic insti­tu­tions. The cham­ber uses its exten­sive net­works to incor­po­rate local needs into projects and to trans­fer results sus­tain­ably.

The Uni­ver­si­ty of Applied Sci­ences 21 spe­cialis­es in dual study pro­grammes and works close­ly with medi­um-sized com­pa­nies, par­tic­u­lar­ly in the Elbe-Weser area and the Ham­burg met­ro­pol­i­tan region. It com­bines teach­ing, research and prac­ti­cal rel­e­vance by involv­ing stu­dents in research projects. The uni­ver­si­ty works close­ly with com­pa­nies in the con­struc­tion indus­try and devel­ops prac­tice-ori­ent­ed cur­ric­u­la for this coop­er­a­tion. Prof. Dr. Sabine Zip­pel and Prof. Dr. Karsten Ley are two of the lead­ing pro­fes­sors with exten­sive expe­ri­ence in the fields of archi­tec­ture, man­age­ment and urban devel­op­ment.

The Hun­gar­i­an ICT Asso­ci­a­tion (IVSZ) has been rep­re­sent­ing the inter­ests of the Hun­gar­i­an ICT indus­try for over 30 years and has more than 350 mem­bers. The asso­ci­a­tion focus­es on the dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion of SMEs, the devel­op­ment of dig­i­tal skills and the pro­mo­tion of inno­va­tion in the econ­o­my. ITSA has exten­sive expe­ri­ence in inter­na­tion­al projects such as H2020 and Eras­mus+ and works close­ly with nation­al author­i­ties and com­pa­nies. Through EU-fund­ed projects, the asso­ci­a­tion sup­ports SMEs in the con­struc­tion and man­u­fac­tur­ing sec­tors in imple­ment­ing dig­i­tal tech­nolo­gies and adapt­ing to Indus­try 4.0.

IPOSZ, the largest asso­ci­a­tion for small and medi­um-sized enter­pris­es in Hun­gary, rep­re­sents 40,000 SMEs with around 200,000 employ­ees and 6,000 appren­tices. The asso­ci­a­tion offers fur­ther train­ing, advice and ser­vices such as finan­cial and cred­it infor­ma­tion, with a par­tic­u­lar focus on the con­struc­tion indus­try and dig­i­tal­i­sa­tion. IPOSZ active­ly sup­ports the dig­i­tal trans­for­ma­tion of com­pa­nies through prac­tice-ori­ent­ed train­ing, par­tic­u­lar­ly in the con­struc­tion indus­try, and pro­motes dig­i­tal com­mu­ni­ca­tion and project man­age­ment. Thanks to its strong nation­al and inter­na­tion­al net­work, IPOSZ con­tributes to the devel­op­ment of SMEs and tech­no­log­i­cal inno­va­tions.

The Cham­ber of Crafts and Small Busi­ness in Katow­ice is a major eco­nom­ic organ­i­sa­tion in Poland, with over 8,000 mem­ber com­pa­nies and 44 asso­ci­a­tions. It is respon­si­ble for voca­tion­al edu­ca­tion and train­ing, con­duct­ing exams and devel­op­ing fur­ther train­ing pro­grammes. With its exten­sive train­ing cen­tre, the cham­ber offers cours­es in 64 occu­pa­tions and is active in var­i­ous nation­al and inter­na­tion­al projects. The cham­ber brings exten­sive expe­ri­ence in the devel­op­ment and imple­men­ta­tion of qual­i­fi­ca­tion mea­sures and uses its strong net­work in pol­i­tics and admin­is­tra­tion to effec­tive­ly imple­ment projects and dis­sem­i­nate the results wide­ly.
